Helping grocery shoppers estimate costs and learn about their shopping trends

Many people don't think too much about their grocery shopping habits, and can come away from the store surprised at the total on their receipt. This app aims to help shoppers learn more about their shopping habits, see statistics on how much they spend in different categories, and create suggested shopping lists for future shopping trips. As always, I started with paper sketches.

The home screen displays when your next shopping trip is projected to be, how much the estimated total is, and a suggested list of items to purchase, all based on your shopping history. Users can add receipts using the camera feature, which will pull the text from the image and import it into your receipts section. You can view statistics based on your past trips about how much of each category you purchase and how often your trips are.
